Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-35E in Lewisville, TX on January 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:57 a.m. A Honda Civic operated by 56-year-old Michael Lee Abbott reportedly lost control while headed northbound on S I-35E and veered from the road. It then crashed into a light pole in a median, causing Abbott serious injuries. Investigators allege Abbott was intoxicated at the time of the crash and reports indicate he was issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
