What Happened

Authorities with the Texas Department of Public Safety have information on a crash at US 59 and Fondren Rd in Houston, TX on August 7th, 2022. According to police, the crash is believed to have happened around 10:25 p.m. Investigators say a Ford F-150 operated by 54-year-old Michael White was traveling southbound on US 59 before veering from its lane for unknown reasons before striking a southbound Toyota Sienna operated by 62-year-old Ester Rivas Rubio.  The Ford continued across travel lanes before hitting a barrier wall, leaving White with fatal injuries. Rivas Rubio was evaluated for possible injuries. Additional details were not available.
