What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Gene Campbell Blvd in New Caney, TX on January 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. and involved a Toyota Corolla and Chevrolet Camaro. Investigators say the Corolla, operated by a 27-year-old New Caney man, veered into the path of the Camaro, operated by 54-year-old Nancy Montalbo, and both collided. Montalbo suffered minor injuries while the New Caney man was seriously injured. Investigators suspect he may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
