What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Hwy 302 in Ector County, TX on July 18th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. A Dodge Charger occupied by 19-year-old Nicholas Terrazas reportedly collided with the rear of a semi-truck that was slowing to turn into a parking lot. Terrazas suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the Charger and two other passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was also hospitalized with injuries. Police suspect Terrazas was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
