What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured an officer at Katy Freeway in Harris County, TX on March 24th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. According to investigators, a BMW exiting the freeway is said to have severed in an attempt to avoid striking a nearby patrol car. The patrol vehicle was parked nearby a second vehicle that was allegedly stalled in a nearby lane. The BMW is said to have struck both the nearby vehicle and the officer. The officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Two people in the disabled vehicle were also hospitalized. Reports allege the BMW driver was not intoxicated and additional information was not available.
