What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed a woman a County Rd 104 in Karnes County, TX on January 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:02 a.m. Investigators are saying a Chevrolet Silverado was headed northbound on County Rd 103 at the time. The vehicle was reportedly nearing a Y-shaped intersection before attempting to go right. Due to the speed of the vehicle, police say it veered from the road while turning and traveled into an embankment. From there, authorities say the vehicle fell to the ground bellow, the incident leaving the 23-year-old Nordheim woman operating the vehicle, identified as Olivia Herrera, fatally injured. A 27-year-old passenger, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
