Police say the incident happened around 3:25 p.m. According to investigators, a 2008 year GMC Sierra operated by 36-year-old Omar Gonzalez Rocha was southbound on FM 1402 at the time. Traveling westbound on County Rd 3270 was a 2011 year GMC Sierra operated by a 53-year-old Mount Pleasant man. Officials allege the 2011 year GMC ran a stop sign at the intersection, colliding with the 2008 year GMC. The collision left Rocha with serious injuries, according to police, and the other driver with minor injuries. Sources indicate a charge of Driving While Intoxicated was recommend and/or issued against the 2011 year GMC operator.
