What Happened

Authorities in Midland County, TX, are investigating a serious multi-vehicle collision that occurred on January 31, 2025, at approximately 2:13 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 158 and County Road 1140. A 22-year-old male driver operating a 2004 Freightliner semi-truck failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, colliding at an angle with a 2005 International semi-truck. The crash resulted in one suspected serious injury to the 27-year-old male driver of the International truck. The driver of the Freightliner was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. The crash was attributed to driver error. No fatalities were reported. The investigation is complete.
