What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 315 in Rusk County, TX on January 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:58 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 40-year-old Cypress man us accused of crossing a center stipe and in an area not prohibited and collided with a second truck attempting to avoid the collision. The driver of the second truck, a 52-year-old Spring, TX man, suffered minor injuries. Investigators say the driver of the first truck stated that he fell asleep at the wheel to contribute to the crash.
