What Happened

El Paso Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at N Zaragoza in El Paso, TX on February 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4 p.m. As Hyundai operated by 62-year-old Cynthia Martinez-Mahar was pulling out of a private parking lot to enter the main travel lanes, police say a northbound motorcycle collided with the vehicle. Police say the vehicle was previously speeding and weaving in and out of traffic lanes with a lifted front wheel prior to impact and that the cyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Martinez-Mahar is said to have suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized. Additional information was not available.
