What Happened

Authorities in Laredo, TX, are investigating a crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist that occurred on March 1, 2025, around 10:44 p.m. on Interstate 35. Authorities are saying a Ford F-250 traveling south struck a 32-year-old bicyclist, identified as Orlando Benedetto, and later died from his injuries.  The Ford driver and four passengers were uninjured. A third vehicle, a Chrysler, was also involve  its unlicensed and uninsured driver was cited for related violations. Alcohol and drug use were identified as contributing factors.
