Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-10 in Kerr County, TX on November 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:05 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer was westbound on I-10 as a Chevrolet Silverado was eastbound. The vehicles were approaching a curve in the roadway when police say the Silverado lost control at the curve and hit a guardrail. From there, officials say the vehicle traced across the eastbound lanes through a guardrail before striking the tractor-trailer. The impact was severe enough the driver of the Silverado was ejected from the vehicle, reports say. The driver was identified as 20-year-old Osvaldo Verdugo, who suffered fatal injuries in the incident. The tractor-trailer operator, a 40-year-old Iowa man who was not publicly identified, had possible injuries, according to police. Additional information was not available.
