Area authorities have information on a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 24 in Delta County, TX on May 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:46 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by a 37-year-old Austin woman was going northbound on State Hwy 24 before it allegedly failed to control its speed in a construction zone. The vehicle struck the rear of a Toyota Rav4 operated by 80-year-old Patsy Couch, leaving both she and her passenger, 82-year-old John Couch, with injuries believed to be serious in nature. The Austin woman was not injured, according to police. Officials recommended and/or issued two counts of Intoxication Assault charges against the Austin woman.
