Police say the incident happened around 5:25 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram headed southbound on US 271 is alleged to have hydroplaned in heavy rain conditions. The vehicle is said to have went into a skid and rotated into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Toyota Corolla.
