What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at TC Lupton Blvd in Sunnyvale, TX on August 9th, 2021. Police have stated the incident occurred around 6:19 p.m. A Honda Accord operated by 61-year-old Randall Edward Nix was headed southbound on TC Lupton behind a commercial truck. The commercial truck, operated by a 53-year-old Arlington man, was reportedly attempting to make a u-turn to head northbound using the median. Investigators say that area was insufficient for a u-turn and the Accord failed to control its speed and struck the truck. Nix was seriously injured and hospitalized while the other driver was not injured.
