What Happened

San Angelo Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Loop 306 in San Angelo, TX on August 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:20 a.m. A Kia Sportage operated by 45-year-old Raphael Salas reportedly collided with multiple large rocks in front of a high school. After the collision, Salas reportedly exited a vehicle and was struck by a passing Honda Accord. The Accord was forced from the road as a result and crashed into a large road sign. Both the Honda driver and Salas suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
