Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured both drivers at Loop 323 in Smith County, TX on June 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Impala operated by 25-year-old Jennifer Carranza is alleged to to have crossed northbound lanes into southbound lanes of Loop 323, colliding with Ford Ranger operated by 76-year-old Reynaldo Tabares. Tabares suffered injuries believed to be minor in nature while Carranza was more seriously injured. A Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
