What Happened

El Paso Police identified the person killed in a crash at Socorro Rd in El Paso, TX on August 24th, 2021. They say it happened around 3:20 a.m. A Chevrolet Cobalt operated by 20-year-old Alexander Arredondo was headed eastbound on Socorro Rd when it veered from the road into an electrical pole. His passenger, 19-year-old Ricardo Ramirez, was seriously injured and hospitalized before later being released. Police say he was brought back the following day after losing consciousness and died. Arredondo was also hospitalized with injuries. No further information was shared.
