What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Central Expy and Routh St in Dallas, TX on May 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:43 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 52-year-old Richard Simpson was headed southbound on the west service road when it lost control at a curve. It then veered over ta curb and into a gravel portion of elevated freeway before crashing into a concrete column. Simpson was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from.
