What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash at I-10 in Katy, TX on June 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:24 p.m. Investigators say the incident involved a passenger vehicle operated by 54-year-old Richard Young Wall failing to maneuver over safely to avoid colliding with a disabled tractor-trailer in a lane of travel and failing to control its speed, colliding with the rear of another vehicle. This caused it to spin into and strike a second vehicle which was pushed into a tractor trailer before it spun into another vehicle. Wall suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
