What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at County Rd 1050 and FM 307 in Midland County, TX on December 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:40 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-railer operated by 47-year-old Rigoberto Eduardo Fernandez was headed northbound on County Rd 1050 before allegedly failing to yield at a stop sign. As the vehicle approached the intersection with FM 307, it collided with a second tractor-trailer. Fernandez suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The other driver, an unnamed 46-year-old Coahoma man, was hospitalized in stable condition.
