What Happened

Laredo Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-35 in Laredo, TX on March 30th, 2022. Investigators believe the accident happened around 9 p.m. and involved a semi-truck colliding with the rear of a disabled van. The driver of the van, identified as 36-year-old Rodolfo Puente Rivera, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Police do not believe the driver of the truck displayed signs of intoxication and say the driver volunteered fro a blood sample. Additional information was not available.
