What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed two people at Airline Rd in Corpus Christi, TX on May 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 12:35 a.m. Investigators say a pickup truck headed northbound on Airline Rd allegedly failed yo yield right of way prior to attempting a turn westbound in a private driveway. Reports indicate the vehicle traveled into the southbound path of a motorcycle, the vehicles colliding as a result. Police say the operator of the motorcycle, identified as 32-year-old Roman Brady Perez, died at the scene. A 30-year-old passenger, identified as Rosa Perez, was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. Sources indicate the driver of the truck, identified as 52-year-old Carmen Guevara, was arrested on two counts of intoxication manslaughter. Additional information was not available.
