What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at Houston Blvd in South Houston, TX on June 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:38 p.m. Investigators say an Infiniti QX60 was allegedly traveling erratically at a high rate of speed prior to colliding with the rear of a Kia Soul stopped for a red light. The impact is said to have pushed the Kia into a Kia K5, proceeding through the intersection at the time. Officials say the driver of the Kia, identified as 47-year-old Rosa Pineda, was seriously injured. 49-year-old passenger, Gerardo Ramos was also seriously injured, as was the driver of the Kia, identified as 26-year-old Taylor Eldridge. The driver of the Infiniti was not publicly identified and allegedly charged with Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger.
