Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at RM 620 in Lakeway, TX on January 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:04 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra was allegedly swerving between northbound lanes prior to colliding with the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado. Reports say the Silverado had previously been stoped for a red light and was proceeding into the intersection on a green light as it was struck. Sources say the driver of the Silverado, identified as 65-year-old Rosemary Cooke, was hospitalized with serious injured. The GMC operator, a 51-year-old man who was not publicly identified, allegedly had minor injuries. Reports also allege the man was under the influence of alcohol and show a DWI charge and Intoxication Assault charge were recommended and/or issued against the driver.
