Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 51 in Cooke County, TX on February 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:06 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 operated by a 54-year-old Decatur man was headed northbound on FM 51 when it veered left to avoid a collision, according to the driver. Police say the driver alleges a Honda Pilot operated by 20-year-old Ryan Mospan was traveling the wrong direction prior to the two vehicles colliding. The Decatur man suffered minor injuries. Mospan was seriously injured, according to reports. Officers expressed suspicion alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
