Police say the incident happened around 5:40 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by an unnamed 39-year-old Houston man was headed southbound on State Hwy 6 as a Dodge Ram operated by 76-year-old Samuel Joseph Ralph was headed eastbound. Officers allege the Dodge ran a stop sign, traveled into the intersection with FM 2136 and into the path of the tractor-trailer. The two vehicles collided, leaving Ralph with serious injuries.
