What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a driver at US 69 in Angelina County, TX on July 27th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 a.m. A Hyundai Elantra operated by 43-year-old Sandra Ward was reportedly attempting to pass another vehicle by traveling northbound in a southbound lane when it crossed onto the southbound lane and struck a commercial truck operated by a 62-year-old Jacksonville man. The truck rolled onto its side into a ditch, however the driver was not injured. Ward suffered serious injuries and was charged with Wrong Side of Roadway-Not Passing and Driving While License Invalid.
