El Paso Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-10 near Don Haskins Dr in El Paso, TX on August 4th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:20 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord traveling westbound on I-10 is alleged to have collided with a Chevrolet as both vehicles attempted to merge lanes. The impact is said to have caused the vehicles to spin, the Honda colliding with the rear of a semi-truck in a nearby emergency lane. Authorities say the driver of the Honda, identified as 49-year-old Sandy Almanza, was fatally injured. The conditions of the other drivers was not shared. Additional information was not available
