What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Hwy 114 in Levelland, TX on August 19th, 2021. A vehicle operated by 46-year-old Sara Rita Rios was headed west on Hwy 114 when the vehicle began drifting into a north ditch. The vehicle attempted to correct back onto the road before veering across the road into the south ditch. Investigators say Rios was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
