What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at Hwy 96 near Kirbyville, TX on April 7th, 2023. Polis say the incident happened around 9 p.m. Investigators allege a Chevrolet truck entered onto the highway from a parking lot into the path of a passenger vehicle. The vehicle vehicles collided, sending the truck into a lane occupied by a second Chevrolet truck, the two colliding as a result. 20-year-old Kaylee Watson and 19-year-old Savannah Mitchell were both hospitalized for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
