Police say the incident happened around 7:05 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 is said to have veered from its lane, traveling into and through an embankment. From there, reports say the vehicle continued northbound before striking a Ford Fiesta headed northbound. Police say the F-150 continued traveling northbound rotating and striking a guardrail while the Fiesta veered from the road, ejecting its operator. The operator, identified as 47-year-old Sebastian Mendoza, was fatally injured.
