What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 2493 in Tyler, TX on May 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:26 p.m. Investigators are saying a Kia Sorento operate day 47-year-old Shaketa Rena Ware was headed southbound making a left turn into a private drive when it collided with a Honda Pilot operated by 64-year-old Kathleen Karla Schade. The collision caused serious injuries to Ware and possible injuries to Schade. A Failure to Yield Right of Way citation was recommended and/or issued.
