What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the person killed in a collision at TX 152 in Gray County, TX on September 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:35 a.m. A Toyota passenger car operated by 48-year-old Andrew Martinez was traveling behind a motorcycle and is said to have failed to control its speed and collided with the motorcycle. The motorcycle was then pushed from the road as a result and into a ditch, ejecting both the driver and passenger. The driver, 46-year-old Shawn Francis, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. A passenger, 42-year-old Teffeni Martinez, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not available.
