What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at  I-20 in Harrison County, TX on September 3rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. A commercial truck operated by a 30-year-old Hampton, AR man reportedly changed lanes when unsafe into the path of a Toyota Rav4 operated by 45-year-old Shawntalla Williams. The Toyota took evasive action and was forced into a culvert before overturning multiple times, causing Williams serious injuries. The truck continued on its way without stopping but was followed by a witness and stopped by police shortly after.
