What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 83 in Zapata County, TX on July 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. A Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 26-year-old Sigifredo Perez Jr was headed northbound on US Hwy 83 when it began veering from the road. The truck attempted to correct back onto the road before it veered into a ditch and overturned multiple times. Perez was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.
