What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 79 in Williamson County, TX on July 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:10 a.m. A Ford Fiesta operated by 51-year-old Stephen Husher was headed westbound in a right travel lane when a second vehicle, a Ford F-750, began slowing ahead due a disabled vehicle in the shoulder. The Fiesta is said to have not controlled its speed and collided with the rear of the Ford, veering from the road into a westbound shoulder. Husher suffered fatal injuries. That other driver and passenger were not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
