What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Stuart Rd in Bexar County, TX on October 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:58 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Sentra operated by 39-year-old Nancy Lopez was headed northbound on Stuart Rd when it veered into an oncoming lane and struck a motorcycle operated by 70-year-old Steven Bailey. Following the collision, police allege the Nissan attempted to fled the scene before becoming disabled a short distance away. Bailey was hospitalized with serious injuries that resulted in a leg amputation. Officers recommended and/or issued Intoxication Assault and Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon charges against Lopez.
