What Happened

Fort Worth Police are investigating a crash that killed multiple people involved at I-35W in Fort Worth, TX on September 11th, 2023. Investigators currently believe the crash began when two passenger vehicles collided under unclear circumstances. Authorities say the vehicles pulled into a nearby shoulder as another vehicle and driver stopped to assist, allegedly partially blocking a lane of travel. Police say an approaching 18-wheeler then struck the vehicles before a second 18-wheeler struck the first truck. Authorities say four people involved were killed. The victims were identified as 31-year-old Susana Longoria, 21-year-old Jasmine Breana Jones, 23-year-old Kiara Barker and 25-year-old Chase Mapes.
