Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a person at Virginia Circle in Amarillo, TX on October 16th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 1:19 a.m. According to investigator, a GMC Yukon headed southbound on Georgia St was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed prior to colliding with a Kia Sorrento attempting a westbound turn into a parking lot. The collision left a passenger in the Kia, 32-year-old Tauzgh Lopez, with serious injuries. The drivers and a passenger in the Yukon were all uninjured. Police allege suspicion of alcohol involvement in the crash.
