What Happened

Kerrville Police are investigating a crash that killed a teen at I-10 near Kerrville, TX on November 4th, 2021. Officials say the incident involved a Ford F-250 operated by 19-year-old Jonah Kai Stone traveling at a high rate of speed swerving to avoid crashing into the rear of a Kia K5. The action caused the truck to strike the Kia, veer across a center median and into a ravine where it overturned multiple times. A 17-year Tivy High School passenger suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Officials say the teen was not wearing a seatbelt. Two other teen passengers were hospitalized while Stone was not injured. The driver of the Kia was also not injured. Police arrested and charged Stone with Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle.
