What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a teen at I-40 in Oldham County, TX on February 18th, 2025. Police say the incident happened around5:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado towing a trailer eastbound on I-40 is alleged to have left the roadway for unclear reasons. The vehicle lost control while attempting to return to the roadway, overturning into a center median across eastbound lanes. A 16-year-old occupant was ejected from the vehicle and hospitalized with injuries she later died from. The driver, identified as 37-year-old David Flowers, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
