What Happened

Authorities are investigating a collision that killed a teen at US Route 59 near Livingston, TX on January 2nd, 2025. Officials are saying the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. as a 15-year-old student was exiting a school bus. Reprots say the bus was stopped with flashing red lights as an approaching semi-truck collided with a vehicle stopped, veering right and striking the teen. The teen died at the scene and reprots say the driver of the semi-truck , identified as 41-year-old Gregory Jackson, was allegedly arrested and charged with criminal negligent homicide.
