What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured at least two people at Jefferson St in Grand Prairie, TX on June 2nd, 2022. Police say it happened around 5:26 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 33-year-old Jorge Daniel Mendoza Alba was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed passing vehicles as it approached an intersection. Officials say the Silverado had a red light when entered the intersection and collided with a GMC Yukon that reportedly had a green light. The caused a crash involving several other vehicles, including a Chevrolet Equinox operated by 60-year-old Senen Lucero Rodriguez. Rodriguez suffered minor injuries while the driver of the Yukon, identified as 51-year-old Teresa Trillo, was more seriously injured. Alba was not injured and reports indicate both Alba and a passenger reportedly exited the vehicle and fled the scene on-foot without rendering aid.
