What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 77 in Refugio County, TX on August 15th, 2021. Police say it happened around 1:53 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 43-year-old Brownsville man reportedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Ford F-250 operated by 37-year-old Thomas Mozell. Mozell suffered serious injuries in the crash. The other driver was not injured. Police say driver fatigue played a factor in the collision.
