What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at FM 76 and Horizon Blvd in Socorro, TX on May 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C2500 was eastbound on North Loop Rd, turning left onto Horizon Blvd. Police allege the vehicle failed to yield and collided head-on with an approaching Ford Taurus. The collision is said to have caused the Ford to catch fire, leaving all three occupants, ages 15, 14, and 13, seriously injured. The driver of the Chevrolet , who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured and charged with Intonation Assault.
