What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at TX 173 in Medina County, TX on May 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:23 p.m. Investigators say a Buick operated by a 43-year-old male was headed southbound on TX 173 when it veered into a northbound lane in a no pass zone. It then collided with a commercial truck, rotating and veering from the road. The truck veered though a ditch and fence before becoming jack knifed. A 35-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries. A second female passenger, age 27, was evaluated for possible injuries. The driver, who is suspected of consuming alcohol prior to crashing, suffered more serious injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
