Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 79 in Lamar County, TX on July 19th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:46 a.m. A Chevrolet C1500 Suburban operated by 60-year-old Tracy Marie Bell was headed southbound on Fm 79 as it approached a commercial truck operated by a 40-year-old Sumner man. The truck was reportedly attempting to complete reversing onto the roadway during a turn. The Suburban took faulty evasive action and veered into a ditch to avoid the collision. Bell suffered serious injuries. The other driver was not injured.
