What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at County Rd 809 in Brazoria County, TX on December 31st, 2021. Police say it happened around 11:19 p.m. A Toyota Tacoma operated by 34-year-old Trenton Terry was traveling southbound as it approached a curve in the roadway. The vehicle veered from the road and began to go into a skid. As it attempted to correct back onto the roadway, it went into a grass ditch and hit fence before rolling onto its right side. Terry suffered serious injuries in the crash. Investigators believe alcohol may have played a factor in the crash and records show a Failure to Drive in Single Lane charge was recommended and/or issued.
