What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two men at State Hwy 329 in Upton County, TX on May 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:39 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 5500 operated by a 50-year-old Monahans was headed eastbound when it pulled to the side of the roadway in order to make a u-turn after missing a turn. Police say the truck performed an unsafe turn into the path of a tractor-trailer operated by a 36-year-old Chatham, LA man. The impact left the Monahans man with serious injuries and the Chatham man suffered minor injuries. The Monahans man was charged with Turned When Unsafe.
